A WALL FULL OF SURPRISES

Anyone who takes photos of the nextwall with their mobile phone will get a surprise along with their picture, because our graffiti wall sends vouchers for neighbourhood cafés and shops direct to the camera phone!

To get a voucher, the nextwall visitor takes a photo with their mobile phone of one of the graffiti Matroschkas. They then send the photo by MMS to a number and, a little while later, get a link to a mobile website. There they find out which establishment their voucher is good for - including how to get there.

The technology behind all this is called object recognition. Reference photos that have already been compiled are compared with the photos of the nextwall visitors. Pre-defined links then lead to the corresponding mobile websites. We have deliberately designed these to be very simple - after all, all the information has to be portrayed well on every model of mobile phone.
